- Choose a higher deductible for collision and/or comprehensive coverage. Note that the standard deductible for each coverage is $250, so any amount above this should reduce your premium. However, you should determine if the cost of a higher deductible is worth the benefit of a lower premium (the premium will not reduce dollar-for-dollar for the increased deductible amount).
